I'd apologize for not
tip toeing around you
but I'm sick of these eggshells
sick of being around you
I can't play nice anymore
I can't see straight anymore
you're the one with the problem
I've got nothing to be sorry for
I can't handle the way
you can't handle your life
I don't want to hear your whining
or deal with the strife
I can't shut my mouth
I hate you and I see
The feeling is mutual
You don't care about me
It's been a long road
I'm sick of being the sideshow
There's no saying when you'll stop
Every day is a new low
I'm sick of all your lies
the way you make people turn
I'm sick of picking up pieces
and mending the bridges you burn
I can't hold it all inside
the fire it rages
I can no longer leave my feelings
all locked up in cages
I don't care if the world knows
I'll scream it and shout it
I can't take it anymore
I'm so sick of your bullshit
You live in a world
you think revolves around you
you think you're surrounded by friends
you know you lie to them too
I'm done playing your games
consider me checked out
I'm done watching you complain
sick of watching you pout
I don't believe a word you say
all you do is manipulate
my fuse is too short
and I am filled up with hate
It's time to come clean
time to deal with reality
time to show your true colors
and stop the act of fragility
You've got balls behind my back
So why don't you grow a pair now
Let's do this like adults
I'd be glad to show you how
It's time to grow up
The act is no longer cute
Don't even try explaining
Your point is nothing but moot
I'm done with dealing with this
done stressing out too
Tonight is the night
I forget about you
There's no salvaging this
There's no making the peace
There's no going back
There's no tamin' this beast
My life's supposed to be about me
my thoughts and my needs
not making sure your ass
is continually pleased
Those who know the truth
can't judge me when I leave
Can't judge me when I say
there's nothing left to believe
I don't care if you suffer
Could care less if you burn
You brought this on yourself
You never cared who you hurt
In the end it comes down to
one small pathetic fact
The only one you burned was you
You're taking the impact
How do you sleep
at the end of your days
staring up at the ceiling
knowing you're two faced
You can lie to the world
Convince them of everything
Just remember in the end
They won't trust you with anything
You can stand here and fight
or do what you do best and run
It doesn't matter to me
'Cause I'm officially done.

words.
The world spins by
I’m not sure if I’m dizzy
Or if it’s just a blur
I can’t tell if it’s raining that hard
Or if my tears just
Block the sun from coming through
Is the landscape really that fuzzy
Or can my eyes not focus
Well enough to see what’s real
Are the ambient noises I’m hearing
Sounds that are there
Or are they ones I’m producing
There are so many ways to see the world
Are your eyes making the world look that way
Or is that exactly how it is?
Are your ears making things sound a certain way
Or is it reality you hear?
Are you spinning
Or is the ground moving
Is the path forked
Or are your eyes crossed
Is your future bright
Or is the light in your eyes
Perceiving deception, deceiving perception.
Life goes on.
A smile’s a smile.

September 11th
Let us all remember today, the priorities we said we'd change 10 years ago. The things we promised we'd never take for granted again. The country we swore we'd always stand up for. The soldiers we would proudly stand behind. Let us all take a moment to remember the promises our hearts made on that day, during those attacks, when America was at it's worst, and Americans were at their best.
And for those of you who have posted that you're sick of hearing about 9/11 I have some advice for you : If you are ashamed to stand by your colors, you had better seek another flag.
ONE Nation, Under GOD, INDIVISIBLE. Today, I remember. 9/11.
He is.

He is in good company. God made him exactly how he is supposed to be. He is my little brother and I love him. Just how he is.
He is a musician, an artist, a photographer. He is compassionate, funny, caring. He tries harder than anyone I know. He has learning disabilities. He has Tourette's. He has OCD. He does not suffer from these things. He has these things. They do NOT have him.
The world may not understand him. But, he doesn't need them to.
What a guy.

Are you ready...
... for some football?
Football season is here.
Yes, I love football.
Utes wise I'm expecting a mediocre season. With Wynn as QB I feel like we can't expect much. He is just not a great QB. If and when we do win, it will be thanks to the Utes Defense which is nice and strong with experienced and talented players. I'm also concerned about our lack of an experienced kicker. Especially when some games really will come down to just a few points. We are now part of the PAC-12 and not the MWC. The competition within the PAC-12 will be much harder than we are used to. I have no doubt that we will be able to prove that we are READY for the PAC-12, but we will definitely not obliterate the competition like we could in the MWC. The Holy War is our next game. The Y looks good this year. I am hoping that we will be able to beat them, but I don't think there is a clear projected winner like there has been in years before. It will be a good game and although we are in a harder and more prestigious conference, BYU has always had a great football program and it will make for a good game.
The Bills. What can I say about the Bills? I was born into Billsism, much like I was born into Mormonism. You stick with it, not only because it's all you know, but because you believe in it. I believe in them. Although people will always make fun of our Super Bowl follies of the 90's, I would like to point out that 2nd place isn't a terrible spot to be. Fitzpatrick is a smart and talented QB. CJ Spiller has proven to have been a good pick and Roscoe Parrish is another talented player. Moorman is a dependable punter. All in all the Bills have it in them to do well this year and I wouldn't be afraid to keep my fingers crossed as a wildcard pick for the playoffs. They have the players and the talent, if they can keep up the momentum and push through the game as a team, they will have a winning season. The trick is keeping the momentum all the way until the end of the 4th. The Bills are guilty of doing great until the 4th and then losing it at the end. We'll see.
Either way, there will be no shame in wearing any of my Bills or Utes gear out in public. That's for dang sure.
Love.
Useless Talent
I wish I could sing. Or play guitar. Maybe even sing AND play guitar. I love writing songs, but it's impossible to perform them because my voice would ruin the words. I know song writing is a job, but there are so many people out there who think they can write that actually getting a job writing is hard. Anyways, here is my latest :
Ought To Be
I want to find a town, a real hidden gem.
Where the streets are paved with bricks
and the adults are sir and ma’am.
Where there are picket fences
and pies cooling on the sill.
Where people help each other out
without the sending of a bill.
Oh I’m wishing for a timewarp
A 1950’s kinda pace
This world that spins around us
Has become a worn down place
If there’s any hope around me
Please sing this song with me
Let’s get the country word out
On the way things ought to be
Where women still wear dresses
and the men all wear their suits.
Where family still means something
and kids get to be innocent and cute.
Where Main Street isn’t scary
and you don’t have to lock your door.
Where children still run happily
and the birds still sing and soar.
Oh I’m wishing for a timewarp
A 1950’s kinda pace
This world that spins around us
Has become a worn down place
If there’s any hope around me
Please sing this song with me
Let’s get the country word out
On the way things ought to be
Where Jesus is still allowed to be
and prayer isn’t equal to a sin.
Where morals are still held to dear
and the youth aren’t pressured to give in.
Where soldiers are still the heroes
and actors are just middle class plain men.
Where easy women are looked down upon
and the housewife is a ten.
Oh I’m wishing for a timewarp
A 1950’s kinda pace
This world that spins around us
Has become a worn down place
If there’s any hope around me
Please sing this song with me
Let’s get the country word out
On the way things ought to be
Where money isn’t worshipped,
where the prideful are the poor.
I’m wishing for a place, that isn’t anymore.
